Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 championships have been won on hard courts
A revitalized the Russian player secured his first title for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The Russian, a former world number one, has experienced a challenging season, winning just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
The player's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in especial - led to him dropping out of the elite rankings and finally splitting with long-term trainer Cervara.
Now training with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought three-set victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's initial trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt since spring of 2023.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has won 21 championships at 21 different competitions.
"For the first time I have attended a event with my two daughters together, so to win a trophy is particularly special," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I won when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, including in Halle previously this season.
The player's defensive strategy and frequent emotional displays on the playing surface had led some to wonder if his capacity to perform at the highest level was over.
However the player has made changes in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and compete aggressively, reinforced by an improved serve.
He recovered from a break down in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, securing four of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded break points in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial tour victory, took control to push for a third set.
He saved four early opportunities in a tight deciding set before Medvedev won the break to that score to secure the win.
Fittingly, he clinched the title with a rally at the net, with his opponent failing to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
