I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
